How it works
Three stages. One team. No surprises.
From the first measure-up to the final sweep-up, here is how a Guildford Landscapes job actually runs — and roughly how long each part takes.

Site visit & quote
Darren comes out, measures the driveway or garden, and looks at the things that drive both cost and quality — access for our plant machinery, the levels, and where the water needs to go. Then we talk through the material options — block paving, gravel, tarmac or resin for a drive; sandstone, limestone or porcelain for a patio — and put a clear, itemised, no-obligation quote to it. As our reviews put it, communication is smooth and efficient and the prices fair and competitive.

Around five days for an 80m² drive
Groundwork & build
Our own plant machinery does the excavation and sub-base properly before a single block or slab is laid — the part you never see, and the part that decides whether the surface lasts. Then one team carries the build: laying to line and level, cutting edges clean, filling joints and bedding in the edging courses. We work tidy and to a high standard, and keep the site orderly the whole way through.
- Own plant fleet for the groundwork
- One team, start to finish
- Laid to manufacturer spec

On completion
Clean finish & handover
Edges cut clean, joints sanded, the site swept and cleared — clients single out that we're professional, reliable and clean from start to finish, and punctual, tidy and respectful throughout. We walk the finished job with you, leave you with simple care advice for whichever surface we've laid, and — because we've traded here since 2015 — we're not hard to find if you ever need us back.

Why the base matters most
A driveway is laid once and takes a decade of weight and weather. Whether it holds true comes down to the sub-base underneath — which is exactly why we dig it with our own plant, and never rush it.
